Airlie beach

Mission Ida

sunny 30 °C

Alright, 2 weeks spent in the Gold Coast doing, well, nothing actually, i decided to take a bus up to Airlie beach to surprise Ida (my norwegian good good buddy), if she's still there ?? :-/ 18 hours in a bus, tired as hell when i finally arrived. and no Ida :( although my first nite there was so fun :) I was sharing a dorm with some cool guys and we all went out. (Derek has the pictures that im still waiting for so will put them out as soon as i get them.) the following day i had the worse hangover ever, well i always keep saying I got the worse hangovers so i guess i can just start calling them normal ones from now on. anyways I went to the marina to check out if Ida is on that boat, so i went into the "boat hardware/tool store" something.. where Linkoln worked and he told me which pier to go to. i saw the boat, waited at the pier, no Ida :( apparently her last trip was two days ago, dammit. and her battery was dead on her phone so it was impossible to reach her, nobody knew if she was still around. So i was spending my day sitting on a bench in the marina thinking of what to do. Then Linkoln (halleluja:)) popped up and asked if i found my friend and what my plans were. i didnt know, so he offered me to stay in his place and well yeah, why not. he was a cool guy tho! and had a cool roomie, and a cool house, so everything is cool. dont worry folkens. this is before i watched wolf creek.

sunny 31 °C

Coolio, Im finally in Australia. And I like it, I like it a lot! after a long flight from Bangkok to Sydney I had to take another one up to Brisbane. And from there I got a bus down to the Gold Coast and got dropped off at Surfers Paradise (paradise!!) Then I called up lovely Claudine (my homey back from London).. So lucky me crashed in at her place and got some good, good sleep.

and this is it, I know! It looks like.. yeah well.. not fun. But it sure was! I met some Finnish/Australians here that were wicked, we went out when the rest of the crew started with some Finnish Christmas traditions and that was after the vodka, so I made sure I was long gone before that. I got really amazed tho that there are so many Finnish people here in Oz, insane.
